Oakhill Recruitment are delighted to be working with a growing manufacturing business to recruit a Finance Director. This is a hand on role that reports directly into the Managing Director and has overall responsibility and control of finance and the continued growth of the business. Key aspects of the role will include; formulation of strategic, corporate and long-term business plans, identifying business risks and opportunities, financial reporting and communication, preparation and distribution of the company's accounts, fully responsible for key financial decisions within the business, involvement with acquisitions, purchases and financial projects, control of financial transactions, responsible for the negotiation of contracts with financial institutions associated with company requirements, cash and currency management and control, conducting financial reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) with a strong background within manufacturing and experience within an SME environment. The role will work closely with key departments such as sales, technical and factory in order to develop systems, documentation, databases and costings, so strong communications skills and commercial acumen are key.
