Reporting to and working very closely with the Financial Controller, the Trainee Accounts Assistant is a varied and busy role in which you will be trained up in all aspects of the financial accounting cycle. Extremely hands on, you will support team members performing a wide variety of scheduled and ad hoc responsibilities covering both the sales and purchase ledgers and the daily bank reconciliation. You will help keep the company ERP system accurately updated, and you will liaise regularly with customers and suppliers. To succeed in this position you will have a genuine interest in building a career in finance and accounting and ideally you will be studying towards or will have gained several levels of the AAT qualification. Keen to learn, you will be well organised and efficient with your time, you will enjoy providing help and support to others in the team. This will be driven by your can-do attitude and your strong team driven approach. You will be confident in your use of computers - specific systems training will be provided. Your well developed interpersonal skills will help with the interaction with customers, suppliers and colleagues and you will be confident using the phone.
