Secondment opportunities to work in our international offices. What will you be doing as an Assistant Financial Controller? The successful candidate will be a key member of the accounts team in a varied and challenging role, with the following main tasks: Oversight of monthly management accounts production covered 16 trading entities across 11 countries. To include detailed review of balance sheet and supporting schedules. Ownership of key RGU (Revenue Generating Units), Revenue and Cost per unit reconciliations in order to understand and improve business performance. Develop Business Partner relationships with Sales and Operations, becoming a focal point for communications and queries. Development of detailed country level reporting, including enhanced reporting on key drivers of gross profit. Production of monthly Commercial reporting pack, including review and analysis of key Telematics KPIs. Attendance at monthly country manager reviews, with a view to challenge and drive the business performance. Oversight of quarterly VAT returns and monthly US Sales and use tax returns. Involvement in business improvement projects, as directed and as identified autonomously Develop and implement strong controls and procedures within the finance area, providing a strong base for the continued rapid growth of the business Management and supervision of team members This is not intended to be an exhaustive or exclusive list of duties. Qualifications and specialist training required: Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant. Educated to degree level, minimum 2:1. What experience/skills/attributes do you need? The essential skills/attributes are: - Strong technical accounting skills Advanced Excel skills - including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Look Up Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience of interacting across all levels of the organisation including dealing with non-finance people to gather relevant information Experience of fostering strong working relationships within the finance team and across the organisation. Excellent attention to detail Show an impressive attitude and not only take full responsibility for their duties but are enthusiastic to take on new challenges which will develop their own career. The desirable skills: additional ideal experiences should include:- Experience of managing / supervising a finance team Experience of working within a fast growing business environment Experience of managing projects in the management accounting arena, specifically those designed to improve and streamline processes Experience of Sage, SAP, Oracle financials or similar accounting systems. Particular skill / aptitude required: Able to deliver consistently to a high standard Able to work under pressure to achieve strict deadlines and targets Able to work effectively as part of a team and on an individual basis.
