We have a rare opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller to work for a highly entrepreneurial business expanding rapidly in the UK and overseas in a new role working with a highly experienced Group FD from a Big 4 background. The Company has a fresh and innovative feel, is fast paced and ambitious and offers a financial professional the opportunity to take a lead finance role as well as actively contributing to the strategic plan. What you'll be doing Partnering: The Financial Controller will produce monthly management reports based on the Resource Plan, providing a forecast outlook for the Senior Management Team. Acting as a partner with the Board and Group FD, you'll deliver value through better insights allowing better decisions. You'll assist with statutory reporting, corporate tax and audits (liaising with external stakeholders, e.g. auditors and tax authorities). Managing: You'll be responsible for the management, coaching and development of at least 5 direct reports and their ongoing professional development. Budgeting: You'll coordinate the payroll and overhead budgeting process, to produce a group outlook for annual planning ensuring and understanding of OPEX costs across the group. You'll update reporting packs to facilitate the group outlook, making sure they have the right visibility on all the revenues and costs. Accounts: Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet nominal ledger accounts for each company, prepare and post monthly management accounts adjustments e.g. depreciation, interest allocation, journals etc. Investigation of principal variances in actual performance against budget. Responsibility for day to day credit control and working capital management. Payroll: You'll manage the UK Group payroll making sure people are paid correctly whilst liaising with departments to derive team costs and provide insight. The FC will be the key point of contact for corporate partners.
