Credit Controller - Temporary - £24,000 - Alfreton Chase and Holland are working with a manufacturing business in Alfreton looking for an experienced Credit Controller who has particular experience with risk analysis and setting up and managing credit limits. Initially until October, this temporary position may be extended into 2020 if necessary. Responsibilities include: Manage cash collection of designated accounts reporting any areas of concern to the Credit Manager. Ensure accounts are reconciled and balances agreed with customers on a monthly basis. Ensure accounts are kept up to date by arranging with customers to pay by due date and pay in full. Resolve issues with the customer that may hold up payment from time to time. On a daily basis check the over credit limit report and code orders in line with procedure. Ensure orders are released in a timely manner when customer account is in order. Carry out credit limit reviews on customer accounts as and when required Approve customer orders for processing where customer account is over credit limit or overdue for payment. If not approved liaise with the customer on payment to resolve, and/or perform credit limit review. Delegated control of the Legal File - sending unpaid accounts to the Solicitors for legal action to be commenced for collection of the outstanding debt, liaising with the legal team on cases until resolved - keeping the legal file log up to date with current action Prepare pro-forma invoices as and when required and send out to customer, liaise with originator, and reconcile pro-forma accounts ensuring system invoice is raised and cash is matched to invoice to clear account. The hours of work are 08:30 - 17:00, Mon - Thurs and 08:30 - 16:30 on Friday with an hour for lunch.
