Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading South Yorkshire employer with operations spanning nationwide as they look to recruit an ambitious Commercial Accountant to work from their Head Office location based in Worksop. This is a key role and you will be responsible for the integrity, accuracy and robustness of our financial reporting. Working within the commercial finance team, this role is responsible for challenging, influencing, making strong commercial decisions and effectively managing relationships with all stakeholders. Duties and responsibilities will include: Ensure that rigorous controls and processes are in place to safeguard business assets and maintain the integrity of financial data and reporting Produce information requests within the required timescales, including Business Review and Board packs, KPIs, dashboards, trackers and forecasts Responsible for supporting the development and delivery of the business plan for the relevant area of the business Provide robust and timely financial reporting Review trends and challenge current performance, identifying risks and opportunities within the finance department and the wider business Provide appraisal and analysis of financial performance Work collaboratively across all business functions to share and implement best practice Support the business teams in making commercial decisions to ensure the achievement of business plan targets The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences: ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified Experience of cross functional working Ability to make recommendations, prioritise and good attention to detail Experience in operating in a commercial environment Excellent Excel and analytical skills with an ability to manipulate complex data Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written Ability to recognise potential problems and identify proposed solutions Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks through a team of people Ability to analyse data accurately and quickly This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded recently qualified Accountant to really influence, challenge and support key non-financial staff within a rewarding and dynamic organisation.
