Communicate are exclusively working with a start up UK retail brand, to help them with the recruitment of a Group Finance Accountant on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. The Role This is a stand alone role, reporting directly into the Finance Director. This is a key position where you will be expected to provide full analysis of the fees-ability for the company to open a new office in the far East. Responsibilities Preparation of the monthly consolidated reporting, ensuring adherence with guidelines, policies, and recommended accounting practice. Calculating and posting consolidation journals in the consolidation system. Assist finance teams in resolving any technical accounting and process issues or queries and in ensuring the monthly consolidation is completed in a timely and accurate manner. Coordination and preparation of the half year and year end results disclosures and financial statements. Analysis related to one-off business transactions. Assist with group-wide finance projects as required. Co-ordinate the Group's global statutory accounts process. Qualifications and Skills The position is suitable for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA) with strong experience in providing technical accounting advice Understanding of relevant accounting principles, IFRS, polices and processes Strong analytical skills Strong Microsoft Office Skills
