SF Group are supporting a successful business in Derby to recruit an Assistant Accountant. You will work in a great office, easily commutable via the Derby/ surrounding areas. You will report into the Finance Manager and be confident taking a role with lot of progression on offer. As the successful Assistant Accountant your duties will include: Maintain the companies accounts on SAGE Posting bank payments, bank receipts, and bank reconciliations Processing payments and resolving associated queries Prepayments Journal Postings Unrealised Exchange Gain/Loss Commission Accrual Journal Calculating and reconciling depreciation's, prepayments, and posting associated journals Stock Movement Calculation & Journal Full Balance Sheet Reconciliations Intercompany Postings (if applicable) VAT Returns The successful Management Accountant will: Be Part Qualified within AAT/ACCA or CIMA Have current experience within SAGE and Excel Have between 2 and 3 years recent experience in an Assistant Accountant/ Accounts Assistant job Possess a high degree of professionalism Have Advanced Excel Skills including data manipulation with Pivot Tables, Charts and basic formulas as a minimum Be driven, ambitious, organised and methodical with a talent for problem solving This job will perfectly suit an Assistant Accountant who is very dynamic. You will be looking to promote your self to Management Accountant/ Finance Manager by securing this position through SF Group. You will be part way through your AAT/CIMA/ACCA studies and have received previous exposure to some aspects of management accounts production. Understanding the finance function from the ground up, you must be very keen to get involved in process improvement.
