My client is a growing fashion retailer based in North Yorkshire looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant paying up to £23,000 Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts, which includes the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, management of accruals and prepayments, accounts analysis and control account reconciliation. Update the daily and weekly Trading reports across the business for Mail Order and Retail Stores. Assist with the preparation of cost centre budget and forecasts, working closely with departmental heads and cost line owners. Perform daily control account reconciliation when required e.g. bank reconciliation. Assist with the preparation of the monthly KPI reports. Provide holiday / absence cover for other roles in the Finance team. Maintain and develop detailed Costs Centre variance analysis on specific costs lines, including price volume analysis and review vs. budget identifying corrective action. Develop an understanding of business processes and procedures, including the impact on the company's system of accounts. Recommend, design, implement and maintain any necessary cost controls across the company.
