We are currently recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant. Providing accurate and timely financial and management information for use both internally and externally. This role will enable the successful candidate to gain some great exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced business that can offer some brilliant career development opportunities going forwards. Key
responsibilities:
Business partner with multiple stakeholders in the business Support the delivery of interim and year end reports for a listed FTSE 250 company Preparation of disclosures for interim statements and annual report Responsible for disclosures, technical aspects and production of statutory accounts for subsidiary companies. Includes preparation of statutory accounts Prepare the quarterly VAT return. Liaise with stakeholders (e.g. FACMs) over VAT queries when performing quarterly submission and assist with general enquiries. Reconcile the VAT balance sheet accounts. Ownership of P&L and Balance Sheet Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts P&L and Balance Sheet analyses and commentary Cash flow forecasting and reporting Management of suppliers and payment runs Preparation of VAT returns / Assisting Corporation tax return preparation Liaison with Group Auditors, preparation and filing of the statutory financial statements Development and implementation of accounting policies, robust systems, processes and internal controls Desired Skills and Experience What we are looking for? Exposure to Financial and Management Accounting including Statutory Accounts and FX Qualified accountant, ACA or ACCA with Audit experience Essential Technically and Commercially orientated Strong Microsoft Office especially Excel (pivots and lookups) ERP experience, preferably Workday, Microsoft Navision or Sage Extensive knowledge of UK GAAP Great communication skills Attention to detail Enthusiastic, hands-on and fast learner Desirable Audit background with subsequent commercial experience What we offer: The opportunity to learn and develop alongside experienced and commercially minded finance professionals A relaxed and friendly working environment Unlimited free drinks, snacks and healthy breakfast every day A fast paced, dynamic environment working for a genuine market leading company Support the delivery of interim and year end reports for a listed FTSE 250 company Preparation of disclosures for interim statements and annual report Responsible for disclosures, technical aspects and production of statutory accounts for subsidiary companies.
