Audit Manager/Senior Manager - Glasgow Search Consultancy is currently recruiting an Audit Manager/Senior Manager for a leading UK audit, tax and advisory firm based in Glasgow. The role will primarily focus on providing management over a portfolio of clients from a wide range of industry sectors, ensuring an exceptional quality of service is provided on audits. You will also be responsible for managing a team of staff, supporting them in their development, and planning and executing engagements on behalf of important clients of the business. The firm is going through a period of growth, both organically and by acquisition, and this role represents a significant opportunity to be a major part of that. As a result there are realistic advancement prospects available for you. Key

responsibilities:

• Planning and executing audits on behalf of clients
• Managing, training and developing a team of staff
• Acting as the key point of contact with the firm's audit clients and maintaining strong relationships with them
• Develop a strong commercial understanding of these clients' businesses
• Manage audit resources to ensure engagements have the right mix of knowledge and skills required within the team assigned
• Ensure that the firm's risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times
• Identify and recognise service line opportunities with new clients Required skills/knowledge:
• ACA/ACCA qualified
• Significant experience of managing a portfolio of audit clients
• Strong technical ability with a working knowledge of recent developments in relation to audit, accounting and tax compliance
• Established strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Drive and resilience to deliver high levels of customer service
