SF Group is currently recruiting a Financial Manager to join a well established SME engineering business. An excellent opportunity for a Qualified by experience or Part Qualified accountant to head up a small accounts team on a permanent basis located in Rushden. You will need to be able to take ownership, want to roll your sleeves up and be technically strong. Responsibilities of the Financial Manager: Prepare the management accounts, annual accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow, variance. Assist with financial decision making. Financial modelling to analyse and assess new business initiative, pricing and business opportunities/risks. Review the financial management requirements of the business and develop, implement and maintain financial processes to optimise performance. Perform analysis on income and expenditure to assist in budget monitoring. Prepare P&L Accounts and balance sheets to prepare financial reports. Manage one member of staff, review and oversee their work and manage their development. Oversee the sales, purchase and expenses ledgers ensuring effective cash management. Oversee the payroll through the external payroll bureau. Work with external audit. The Financial Manager will nee to have: Near-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or Qualified by Experience. Relevant experience ideally gained within an SME. Experience of managing financial systems Exchequer experience would be advantageous. Can do attitude, happy to roll their sleeves up. Ability to manage cashflow, oversee payroll whilst preparing management accounts, year-end accounts etc. Able to multi-task with excellent attention to detail and able to prioritise work accordingly. Previous management/supervisory experience would be beneficial.
