The Company REED Accountancy is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading charity in South-East Belfast who are currently on the lookout for a Finance Officer to join their Accounts team. The Job The successful candidate will contribute to the effective management and administration of finance within the company and will provide an effective customer focused service to all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all queries are dealt with in a timely manner. Duties include: - Using Sage 50 for day to day bookkeping - Maintaining financial information - Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and budgets - Processing invoices by their due date - Accurate coding - Preparation and submission of VAT returns to HMRC - Bank reconciliations - Calculating monthly prepayments and accruals - Regularly updating the cashflow forecast - Preparation of payments - Credit Control The Person The ideal candidate will possess most, if not all, of the following: - Foundation level qualification in a recognised Accountancy body (e.g. ICAI / ICAEW / ICAS / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA / AAT / IATI) - A minimum of 2 years work experience in a computerised accounting environment - Proven experience of purchase ledger and sales ledger management - Experience with computerised accountancy software (Sage 50 highly desirable) - Experience in the preparation and submission of VAT returns to HMRC Get in Touch For more information, please get in touch with Chris Burns on 02890 330604.
