Description of the Business Line The Global Markets functions is a trusted partner to external clients (Corporates, Financial institutions and Asset Managers) in market activities, offering a cross-expertise in Research, Investment and Risk Solutions, Execution and Prime Services MARK/COO teams aim at supporting MARK's development and at the same time preventing operational and conduct risks. Objectives: Key partner for MARK business line and activities to enable MARK to serve the needs of its clients in secured wayRun day-to-day operations while also delivering on business critical key projects, such as new business, regulations or transformationEnsure a good cooperation with Support and Control functions. Help to ensure the highest service levels to clients, combining process and business expertise, quality of execution, technology advisory, innovative solutions and operational and conduct risk prevention Summary of the key purposes of the role This role of COO Prime Services Global Execution Services (GES) covers the Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) perimeter in Europe. The mandate is to: Facilitate: Be the enabler to ensure that the business can achieve its full potential. Support on the optimization of the Fo-to Bo processesAct as single point of access for support functions (OPER/ITEC/SAFE/DFIN & MACC)Ensure consistent and appropriate support is being delivered by the various support functions across the different product offerings.Sponsor projects and initiatives directly or in support as delegated party Participate to the animation of the Business line Governance (EXCO, Sysco, Best Exe Co, ETD Governance) Control: Ensure that the business acts within the framework of external and internal rules and regulations Ensure that the business acts within the external and internal defined rules and regulations.Maintain and perform permanent supervision controls on the appropriate scopeEnsure MARK procedures are implemented and adhered toEnsure MARK/PRM procedures are followedEnsure regulatory rules and regulations are implementedEnsure internal and external (audit) recommendations are closed in a timely manner; Summary of responsibilities First priority Ensure an appropriate standardised control framework is maintained across all products in every entity. This covers the different risks: operational, counterparty and market for all services.Contribute to the Strategy/ Development of ETD worldwide, in particular by improving/optimization the existing Fo-to-BO processes Additional priorities Act as point of escalation for both internal and external stakeholders.Ensure Regulatory and KYC requirements are followed correctly;Maintain a close-working relationship with RISQ, PRM/RIS, Compliance, Orga Front, ITEC and OPER;Project sponsor for business or support initiatives, contributor in Business Projects (business and client-follow up (when relevant), profitability studies (when relevant), IT development, client meetings)Provide Head of Desks and Head of activities with relevant metrics to ease decision makingSupervise Interns working on the scope Level of Autonomy and Authority High Profile: Competencies Technical - People management skills to facilitate the cooperation between stakeholders - Thorough understanding of Execution business for equity underlying; - Understanding of the legal framework- Thorough understanding of operational flows, pre- and post-trade processes.
