Chief Financial Accountant (FCA) The London School of Commerce (LSC) is one of the largest and most reputable private higher education providers in the United Kingdom. We are seeking a dedicated, professionally qualified Chief Financial Accountant to operate in our dynamic and fast paced environment, who can also perform a wide range of group financial duties in relation to management accounting. The successful post holder will assist with the global financial reporting requirements, maintaining the highest standards of good practice. The role will combine a hands-on element, particularly with regards to establishing systems, processes and controls as well as a strategic and commercial focus. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful post holder will be based at our London Bridge campus and will be responsible for the final preparation of the group and subsidiary accounts on a monthly and annual basis, including ad hoc analysis and reports. Occasional overseas travel may be required. Key responsibilities Oversee the financial and commercial functions across the group Take an active role in developing and driving the strategic focus of the organisation Preparation of financial and management accounts, as well as financial analysis reports. Managing the year-end audit for the entire group Preparation of financial budgets and forecasts Review and monitoring of Group statutory accounts and tax position Experience/skills required FCA qualified from ICAEW A bachelors degree from an established university A minimum of 6 years post qualified experience Audit experience within a chartered accountancy firm Industry based accounting experience Ability to follow procedures and work to tight deadlines Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multi-national environment Excellent IT skills This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/85034091
