Chief Financial Officer
• Drive the company’s finance and tax strategies; establishing functional objectives in line with organisational objectives
• Develop performance measures (KPIs) that support the company’s strategic direction
• Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Manage the capital request and budgeting processes in the format prescribed by the office of the charity commissioner and obtain approval from the governing council
• File and upload the budget to the office of the charity commissioner, Mumbai website or in person
• Control and evaluate the organisation’s fundraising plans and capital structure
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organisation’s operations
• Supervise all finance personnel
• Manage vendor relationships
• Prepare reliable current reports and forecast capital, facilities, and staff requirements
• Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
• Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
• Implement recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs
• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
• Manage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments
• Manage third parties to which accounting or finance functions have been outsourced
• Oversee the company’s transaction processing systems
• Implement operational best practices
• Construct reliable control systems and ensure compliance with the company’s policies
• Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
• Oversee the issuance of financial information
• Collaborate with the secretary governing council/administrator and principals/heads of departments to report financial results to the board of directors
• Perform risk management by analysing the organisation’s liabilities and investments
• Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Conduct periodical internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
• Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
• Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
• Analyse annual stock taking boards in collaboration with the administrator
• Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations Any other duties as may be decided by Chairman Must have the ability to perform effective risk management and plan the organisation&x27;s financial and operational strategy, KPIs and financial control systems. Must be well versed in accounting, administration, investment and banking operations.
