Assistant Accountant

Your new company
Our client, a well-established service-based business, based in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, is looking to recruit to the job of Assistant Accountant.

Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, producing monthly prepayments, accruals and bank reconciliations, maintaining the fixed asset register and conducting inventory checks, preparation of payroll submissions and quarterly VAT HMRC reports and returns. You will also be a point of contact for external and internal customers.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least 2 years experience within a busy accounts department and ideally be AAT qualified or actively studying towards full qualification, be a keen team player and be able to work to a high level of accuracy.
