Main Purpose of the Role As 4 Ways develops, the role will be responsible for driving the day to day finance and accounting of the business, maintaining and developing robust controls and analysis to support business decisions. Critical to the post will be insuring a no surprises regime while increasing professionalism as the business scales up and minimising the levels of manual processing. To ensure the Finance Team are supported to maximise potential contribution to the function. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Financial Reporting And Financial Management: Manage accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL payroll, Fixed Assets and team that are required Prepare for review and timely publication the monthly financial statements including group related companies and consolidation Produce relevant monthly KPI reports as required Work with the relevant parties to ensure comprehensive and thorough variance analysis reports are completed on a monthly basis Prepare monthly submission monitoring files (e.g TTM / iLevel) for 4 Ways Trading Coordinate the statutory accounts process including day to day management of the year-end audit and production of the draft statutory accounts including consolidations in preparation for review and audit sign off Compliance and Control: Oversight of the Control sheet process preparation and input to future developments and process improvement to reduce production timescales and resources Monthly balance sheet reconciliations PO reviews and tracking for management of Capex expenditure Ensure VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns are filed accurately and on time Ensure all accounting files and required audit trails are maintained to support all entries made Ensure compliance with the Company authorisation matrix including customer price changes and updates to radiologist rate cards Ensure that all processes are effectively documented and are maintained so that they continue to meet the needs of the business as it evolves Team Management: Day to day management and development of 1 full time, 1 part time accountant and 1 finance support. Work in partnership with the 1 full time finalist who is responsible for day to day business planning, forecasting, credit control and improving MI. Other: Provide support for the implementation of new accounting systems as required Perform additional other related controller duties as needed. Person Specification Education: Qualified accountant and significant and demonstrable experience in a similar role. Experience / Knowledge: Essential Will have solid financial accounting experience which will have incorporated some dedicated focus on payroll and benefits, ledger accounting, consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Will have had experience in the preparation and delivery of UK audited financial statements and supporting documentation and experience of dealing directly with auditors Planning and organisational skills to manage and prioritise workload effectively and work to tight deadlines Working with the Finance Team and wider business to ensure effective working capital management Demonstrated experience of supporting change management and the implementation of new processes, controls and reporting tools Good IT skills; must be proficient in MS Word and Excel Desirable Previous experience of Sage accounting systems would be highly desirable Experience and exposure to working within Private Equity backed businesses with monitoring compliance to Banking covenants Experience and exposure to Healthcare related sector Personal Attributes Self-motivated, ability to show initiative and develop creative solutions Will adopt a "right first time and delivery to outcome approach Strong attention to detail is essential Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English Excellent communicator - both written and verbal. Confident but diplomatic with the ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the organization; Tenacious Flexible approach to hours of work Reporting The Candidate will report to the Chief Finance Officer.
