Axon Moore are representing a large global organisation looking to develop their current finance team. Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to work within their Financial Shared Service Centre in the Greater Manchester area. Reporting into the Head of FSS, primary responsibility is to lead the Accounts Payable team and ensure the accurate processing of over a 150,000 suppliers' invoices whilst managing relationships with key stakeholders across Europe. responsibilities:
Actively manage the inputting, coding and payment of all suppliers' invoices on an accurate and timely basis Lead, mentor and develop the Supervisors and Associates Manage the Accounts Payable processes efficiently and effectively ensuring bottlenecks are addressed Achieve excellent customer service through consistent delivery of standard operating processes; striving to be best in class; using lean methodology to drive waste out of processes; adding value through continuous improvement Ensure suppliers queries are dealt with in a professional and timely manner Provide subject management expertise, leadership and advisory services for Accounts Payable Act as the focal point for Accounts Payable ensuring effective communication and resolution of key issues as per escalation Matrix Ensure adequate Controls are in place across Accounts Payable to mitigate Financial, Operational, Anti-bribery, Fraud, and Reputational risks Influencing peers to take action on initiatives related to Transactional activities, manage the detailed work project plans necessary to the Accounts Payable Finance Transformation ensuring delivery in a timely fashion of process improvements and automation solutions Develop and deliver training material for the on-boarding of any new processes. Person Specification: Educated to Degree level or equivalent Proven experience of strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others Ideally experience in a Finance Shared Service / Complex environment Proven history working in Accounts Payable management Proven track record of implementing process improvements Excellent relational skills building relationships resulting in strong relationships with internal customers/stakeholders who view them as a trusted partner Expert knowledge of Transactions processes related to end to end Accounts Payable process An effective leader who can build relationships with people at all levels, along with the skills to motivate and energise others Excellent stakeholder management skills Good understanding of SAP or other large ERP Process mapping techniques desirable Advanced Excel skills essential Team development experience through PDR's, Talent Reviews, Training and Coaching This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/85164764
