iMultiply are supporting a global business based in Edinburgh with the appointment of a permanent Financial Accountant position paying upto £43,000 - £53,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The Role The main purpose of the role is to: Assist in delivering a world class accounting service to our European businesses Perform general accounting and reporting activities on behalf of a European site(s) Identify and implement process improvements that support the efficient and effective services provided Drive continuous improvement in the quality of statutory reporting and associated financial controls Be involved in high profile projects that will shape the future of this highly performing finance function On Offer The role of Financial Accountant will offer salary of £43,000 - £53,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package including generous bonus and pension contribution. You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties: Provide appropriate and timely financial reports covering various metrics as required by site management. Support group and divisional reporting requirements. Identify and address areas of improvement to facilitate a smarter close process. Own month end activities as assigned to the role. Ensure that all monthly balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled with supporting evidence on a timely basis in line with group deadlines. Prepare company reporting schedules for submission to group. Assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of statutory reports, internal and external audits, tax returns and other government returns. Review, develop and monitor accounting policies, procedure and processes. Work closely with the internal controls team to ensure compliance and support the audit process Responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders Perform all other related duties as assigned and support other team members in achieving the team's objectives. Undertake any other tasks as reasonably requested by your line manager and to ensure that your work is conducted in a cooperative and flexible manner. Responsible for ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: Qualified Accountant, however finalist level will also be considered with excellent practical experience Strong financial & management accounting experience A desire to improve processes, procedures and controls whilst being involved in high value & business critical projects Intermediate to advanced user of Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Please do not hesitate to contact John Gilbertson regarding this excellent opportunity.
