SF Group are working with a market leading projects and consultancy business in the West Midlands to source a technically sound and commercially astute Finance Director. The business in question is fast growing and profitable, backed by a mid market private equity firm and generates annual revenues in excess of £20m. Working closely with other members of The Board, your role will be to shape and deliver the long term strategy of the organisation through a sound financial infrastructure and balanced commercial decision making. To give more detail, you will cover the following areas - Delivery of management, financial and statutory reporting to pre agreed deadlines Management of cash and working capital Ownership of the contract review process Analysis of contract profitability Day to day management of the finance team and associated IT systems and HR Management of Company Secretarial duties Given the above, you will be an accomplished Finance Director that is working in project / long term contracting business. You will be hands-on as well as strategic. You will understand the difficulty this industry brings to cash flow management and be used to handling this element on a day to day basis. Ideally you will be or will have worked in a stand alone organisation but we may consider exceptional candidates from divisional finance director roles if the sector experience is particularly relevant.
