MacKenzie King is delighted to be recruiting for a successful, growing organisation in Colchester to recruit a Finance Director Designate. The role reports directly to and will develop close working relationship with Board of Directors as well as Senior Management team to contribute to the future growth of the business. Duties will include: Provide leadership to the finance and accounting strategy, to optimise the company's financial performance and strategic position. Control of all financial aspects via Financial Controller and an accounts team Effectively managing relationships with third parties, including auditors, solicitors, bank etc. Overseeing Finance, HR, IT and Transport departments. Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth. Setting and agreeing budgets, monitoring and acting on monthly financial results prepared by the Financial Controller, ensuring supporting staff have agreed all monthly reconciliations. Agreeing annual bank facility and daily monitoring of cashflow to ensure facility not exceeded. Agreeing suppliers to be paid, monitoring outstanding debtors. Personal Requirements You will be a fully Qualified (ACA,FCA,orACCA) with strong accountancy skills but also practical experience within larger SME's. You will have proven commercial experience, the ability to influence and possess the desire to succeed both personally and for the business to succeed and grow. The ability to mentor and develop the team is required as is the ability to meet both internal and external deadlines. The core hours are 8-5pm Monday to Friday.
