Credit Controller Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm £22,000 per annum Permanent Trafford Park Credit Controller To take responsibility for a range of accounts within the debtor's ledger and to pro-actively resolve outstanding debts by telephone, post, fax and email. The Role Collection of outstanding overdue debt by telephone fax & email as per credit control policies & in a professional manner. Setting & controlling of credit limits in conjunction with Dun & Bradstreet reports and in consideration of the established client relationship Checking & passing of credit fails. Escalating issues (where absolutely necessary) to a senior member of the Accounts Team (and or senior staff members within a client organisation) Satisfactory resolution of customer enquiries and complaints. Providing / suggesting alternative or interim payment solutions (where applicable). Pro-active checking & chasing of invoices. issuing standard letters subject to various payment triggers Re-issuing / progressing of copy invoices where necessary Achievement of pre-agreed monthly targets (individual and team) Reporting of statistics & information to team leader on an ad-hoc and periodical basis Ongoing day to day liaison with sales & administration staff internally. Participating in any ad-hoc projects as necessary within the team Any other duties as reasonably requested by a senior member of staff and / or colleague The Candidate Credit Controller The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/attributes: Essential: 1 year's credit control related environment. Relevant accounting or business qualification preferred Experience of managing /effectively processing a large number of debts with a range of clients Experience of working in a target driven environment Experience of working with blue chip clients (preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effective planning & time management. Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment Ability to establish credibility and build a rapport with clients Target driven with the motivation to significantly reduce the amount of outstanding debt.
