Head of Finance (Interim - FTC until at least March 2019) Cornwall £55,000 pro rata The Eden Project, an educational charity, connects us with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work towards a better future. We have an opportunity for a finance professional to lead our financial control and accounting activities, ensure that we adhere to UK regulatory and legislative requirements. You will manage a high volume and value of cash, assets and liabilities, ensuring the effective deployment of financial resources to maximise our return and optimise cashflow. You will be expected to ensure that all financial data is accurately reported in preparation for budgets, tax returns and financial statements, analysing the details and managing the internal and external audits. You will lead the financial accounting team, ensuring that each individual is able to meet the demands of their role and provide expert financial advice and guidance across the organisation, in area such as capital projects, cost control, income generation, taxation and risk management. You will be a pivotal in our finance team and will have the responsibility to manage all cash on a daily basis, making tactical decisions to balance liquidity with supply chain continuity. You will hold a full post-graduate accountancy qualification and be a fully chartered member with ICAEW / ACCA or CIMA. With experience of managing an Accounting function, you have experience in a senior manager capacity, ideally with commercial experience across a wide variety of accounting functions and practices. You will have great attention to detail, ensuring accuracy at all times and monitoring all transactions. We are looking for a Head of Finance who can deliver in a fast paced, changing environment, has experience of managing and developing finance teams effectively, and is also keen to learn, grow and drive forward continual improvements in our service. This is an interim position until at least 31st March 2019 with potential for extension and/or become permanent
