ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER / MANCHESTER / PERMANENT / £45,000 - £55,000 / EXCELLENT BENEFITS A global service company is looking to recruit a skilled Accounts Payable Manager. The role is based in the company's luxury new offices located near Manchester City Centre. This is an exciting time to become part of this international business that has recently won awards for innovation and employee engagement. The purpose of the role is to lead the Purchase To Pay team at managing timely and accurate processing of all the supplier invoices. Reporting into the Head of Shared Services, the role will involve: Actively manage the inputting, coding and payment of all suppliers invoices on an accurate and timely basis Lead, mentor and develop the Transactions Specialist and Associates and through them, the initiatives with suppliers to drive the Transactional Finance KPIs and process improvements within Purchase To Pay Manage the PTP processes efficiently and effectively ensuring bottlenecks are addressed and work appropriately balanced to reduce financial risk, lower costs and enable continuous efficiency and operational excellence Achieve excellent customer service through consistent delivery of standard operating processes; striving to be best in class; using lean methodology to drive waste out of processes; adding value through continuous improvement Ensure suppliers queries are dealt with in a professional and timely manner and that monitoring process ensures that effective and timely solutions to suppliers issues are delivered Provide subject management expertise, leadership and advisory services for Purchase To Pay Act as the focal point for PTP ensuring effective communication and resolution of key issues as per escalation Matrix Ensure adequate Controls are in place across PTP to mitigate Financial , Operational, Anti-bribery and Frauds Influencing peers to take action on initiatives related to Transactional activities, manage the detailed work project plans necessary to the PTP Finance Transformation ensuring delivery in a timely fashion of process improvements and automation solutions Develop and deliver training material for the on-boarding of any new processes. Keep up to date with all statutory, legal and fiscal changes which affect processes / policies in functional area. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role, end to end knowledge of the purchase to pay process, strong leadership skills and the ability to improve processes.
