A successful Lloyd's Managing Agent are looking for a Credit Controller to join their London offices. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in Insurance Underwriting or Brokers who is looking to take the next step in their career. As an ideal candidate you will have Lloyd's syndicate experience, be familiar with X-Changing, slips and endorsements, be numerically strong, and be able to work under pressure. Overall you will be able to liaise with colleagues/external counterparties of all levels and be able to think problems using own initiative. Main duties: Weekly review and reconciliation of premiums due and follow up of overdue broker accounts Establishing Broker contacts in each Broking company for Credit Control and holding monthly meetings with those contacts to ensure progress on aged debt is made Establishing a standard cancellation wording to administer to Brokers as required Logging details of overdue premiums to establish a "proposed cancellation list" for each Underwriting Division and reviewing the list with Class Underwriters prior to issuing cancellation notices to Brokers Review and investigate USMs to identify causes of discrepancies between booked and paid premiums Working with the Delegated Underwriting team and Class Underwriters to review bordereaux against signings to confirm bordereaux payments Working with Management Information to establish a Credit Control report which reflects aged debt by currency Producing summary reports and presenting these updates to monthly Underwriting committee and quarterly Divisional meetings Chair monthly meetings with each underwriting team to discuss movements and any issues to highlight Review of data integrity reports to facilitate ease of credit control review; including settlement currency and signed line discrepancies Review and attach premium signing which have not automatically attached to policies Essential: 2 A Levels at Grade C or above, GCSE English and Maths at grade B or above (or equivalent).
