An ambitious and innovative clean energy enterprise are planning to significantly scale up operations within Zambia and several markets across the African continent moving from being a startup to becoming an established company. As CFO / Head of Finance and Administration you will have a key role in developing the company. The position is located at the Zambia HQ in Kabwe and will bundle oversight over finance and administration functions both for the European parent company as well as the Zambian subsidiary. You will develop company policies and systems in areas of finance, procurement, HR and legal. You will also contribute to developing new products and business models by taking care of the financial modelling related to these.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with the CEO and Zambia Country Head to develop company policies and systems in areas of finance, procurement, HR and legal Build finance and administration teams and develop capacities of team members Overall responsibility for budgeting and monitoring of cash flows and expenditures and preparing financial statements for management and the board Build financial models to enhance company profitability and manage risk based on existing product and business model as well as to shape decision making concerning new products and business models Oversee bookkeeping/accounting done by internal and external resources Conduct internal audits and collaborate with external auditor Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, clients and partners Develop strategy and plans for attracting, retaining and developing talent Requirements: Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Finance, other professional qualification in finance or accounting or other relevant field, and some work experience Readiness and resilience to join the adventure of building a big profitable business in Africa while solving some of the most difficult problems for marginalised small-scale farmers Micro-finance experience is an advantage Communicate well in English - both written and verbal Willing to live in Kabwe, a second-tier city in Zambia Crucial role in shaping the future of the organisation Making a great impact for smallholder farmers Remuneration package consisting of basic salary, equity and bonus payments accommodation, travel expenses.
