As the UK’s largest cheese and dairy-based ingredients supplier we are looking for an ambitious, talented Finance Manager to join our UK Finance team based in Crewe.  A newly created position, you will work collaboratively with Commercial and Operations to support commercially driven strategic decisions around product and customer profitability. 

Key Accountabilities Include:

Engage with and provide business support to cross functional teams to drive business critical decisions and ensure the effective assessment of their profitability.

Identify opportunities to improve the financial performance of the UK business through inquiry and analysis. Support departmental management teams to build, implement and continuously improve systems and processes that challenge and help optimise key drivers within the business.

Develop and maintain effective financial and management reporting routines and processes that ensure UK business and departmental management are provided with accurate, relevant and timely information mainly in respect

Manage the sales forecasting process for the UK business.  Support financial planning process for the UK sites and work with the Head of Finance to consolidate the plan.  Support accurate business planning via the monthly re-projection and annual budgeting processes. 

Continuously assess key risk areas of the business to identify, monitor and develop the control systems in place and ensure these are maintained.  Work with departmental managers to implement risk management measures and support managers to adhere to agreed self-assessment processes.

Who are we looking for?

You will be an experienced Finance Manager, ideally from an FMCG, manufacturing background with good commercial awareness and an understanding of batch / process flow manufacturing.  This is a newly created role where you will be responsible for the development and implementation of commercial reporting and profitability analysis to fully understand major cost drivers. 

With strong IT proficiency you will be confident developing and building dashboards to provide reporting and analysis; experience of vlookup, pivots and macros and an understanding of how ERP systems feed data.  Confident and articulate, you will be keen to ask questions and demonstrate a pro-active cross functional approach to your tasks. Able to manage and prioritise your workload, you work well under pressure to achieve strict deadlines.  Whilst based in Crewe occasion travel to the Leeds office will be required.
