Purchase Ledger and Payroll Assistant (temporary to permanent role) Rougham £10.75 - £11.20 per hour This company, a market leader in their field, are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger and Payroll Assistant to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for purchase ledger, expenses, payroll and related functions along with assisting the Management Accountant with various tasks. Specifically you will be responsible for: Inputting, matching and coding invoices to ledger Obtaining authorisation of invoices Requesting purchase credit notes and dealing with queries Monitoring orders for outstanding invoices Overseeing payment runs Dealing with queries as appropriate Reviewing bank accounts for payments not entered, posting as necessary and reconciling bank daily Communicating with suppliers regarding expected payments Checking supplier statements to purchase ledger and chasing any missing invoices Obtaining staff expenses and credit card details, checking, approving and posting Setting up new supplier accounts Preparing month end reports for Purchase Ledger ready for period closing Preparation of payroll and related administration RTIs End of year returns Pension administration Checking and submitting Intrastat Arrivals Accruals and prepayments Maintaining Fixed Asset Register Analysis/breakdown of Nominal codes Covering certain roles in times of holiday and sickness To be successful in your application you will have previous experience of all the above duties, be immediately available for work and happy to work on a temporary to permanent basis. You will need strong Excel skills. You will be pro-active, with excellent communication skills and a team player. Hours of work will be 9.00 am to 5.30 pm. This role is suitable for candidates who have worked within Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, Bought Ledger, Payrollers, or as Accounts Assistants or Bookkeepers. This role is commutable from Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Elmswell, Thurston and all other surrounding villages. Please apply today if this role appeals to you
