We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Risk Manager to join YBS Group's Customer and Commercial Risk team. The Customer and Commercial Risk team is an integral part of YBS's Customer and Commercial Divisions. What you'll be doing As a Credit Risk Manager, you will lead a wide range of interesting projects such as those detailed below. Enhance the Group's collections strategies and policy. We are particularly looking for a candidate with experience designing effective collections strategies and monitoring their success. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in enhancing the Group's collections activity and ensuring we are prepared in the event of a downturn. Own, develop and embed the credit risk appetites. Through strong and broad stakeholder engagement, you will define the boundaries beyond which the level of credit risk is unacceptable regardless of reward. You will ensure the business is aligned to and operating within risk appetite. Ensure high quality, insightful credit risk analytics is produced. You will lead and support the production of key credit risk analytics that provides real insight and can, therefore, be used to inform strategic decision-making. Develop others. Although you will not have formal line management responsibility, you will use your expert knowledge and experience to coach, mentor and develop other team members. In doing so, you will enhance the professional abilities of both yourself and your colleagues. The knowledge & skills you'll have Minimum 5 years' experience in Financial Services (or similar) with minimum 2 years' experience in Credit Risk Experience of designing effective collections strategies and monitoring their success Expert knowledge of at least one of the following Credit Risk areas; Credit risk model development Portfolio analytics Advanced IRB Proven ability to independently lead programmes of complex analytical work and colleagues in order to determine solutions Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communication skills with experience of presenting and influencing at a senior level Proven ability to coach and develop junior colleagues Educated to at least degree level (preferred) with an emphasis on mathematical / analytical techniques Expert skills in data manipulation, SAS (or similar statistical packages), SQL and Microsoft Excel Energetic and driven Rewards and benefits Not only do we provide the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to our business, we want to recognise and reward that contribution.
