Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading Hotel Group based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to recruit for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager. The successful candidate will oversee all the financial aspects and deliver business objectives, reporting into the Regional Financial Controller and working alongside the General Manager. A great opportunity to join a leading Group supporting and overseeing a team of two in finance where you can really add value.
Your new role
Your key duties will include leading and supervising the finance team (2 x team members), preparing monthly profit and loss accounts and investigating variances, month-end journals, comparisons to budgets, weekly forecasts along with balance sheet reconciliations. You will assist in annual budget preparation, maintain sales and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations along with adhering to all audit requirements and reporting functions. You will be involved in stock management, supplier payments and oversee the payroll processing. You will provide timely and reliable financial information to allow effective decision making, whilst working alongside the Hotel General Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this exciting Finance Manager position you will have experience within a similar role, high level of accuracy and detail, along with being able to prioritise and delegate work-loads, whilst working towards deadlines. Strong communication skills are essential to build internal/external relationships along with being able to interpret financial information for all to understand and key system skills. Hotel sector experience and supervisory skills are advantageous but not essential.
