Client Details
Our client is a global organisation based in the hear of Newcastle City centre, they are currently going though a huge period of growth. You'll be part of a busy finance team working alongside and supporting a team of five management accountants.
Description
As the Assistant Management Accountant you will be responsible for (under the guidance of your line manager):
- Support the Finance Business Partners in all day to day finance process
- Support period end processes
- Prepare financial journals for review
- Preparation of journals for review and working on ad hoc projects.
- Analyse financial and non-financial records
- Undertake cash flow monitoring
- Prepare account reconciliations for review
- Operate with transparency and ensure excellent record keeping for audit trail
- Assist others teams within finance on an ad hoc basis
- Carry out administrative tasks, filing and other ad hoc duties
- Ensure that the business' customer care standards are maintained when dealing with all stakeholders, including an effective response to complaints
- Ensure that all duties, including dealings with all stakeholders, are conducted within the business's policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of all information gained during the course of employment that relates to stakeholders
- Undertake other duties which may reasonably be assigned to you by (or with agreement of) your line manager
Operate with openness and transparency and ensure excellent record keeping for audit trail
Profile
- Studying towards CIMA
- Strong Excel and numeracy skills
- Methodical, organised, efficient and effective
- Attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Entry level accounting/bookkeeping knowledge
- Full understanding of policies and procedures
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Flexibility and helpfulness
- Willing and eager to learn new skills
