Head of Credit Risk
Location:
London Remuneration - £80-105k up to 30% bonus work from home option Description: We are currently looking for an energetic and recently hands-on individual to function as a key member of the Credit Risk team. As a Head of Credit Risk, you will be leading the development of analytics and Credit Risk models crucial to expansion. This opportunity suits an individual that is inquisitive and ambitious with a background in Credit Risk and extensive senior stakeholder management. You will have direct reports at a lead and junior level so can develop your management skills, as you're required to manage workflows for analysts to deliver to the wider risk function of the business. Day to day as Head of Credit Risk: Lead the development of the Credit risk function to adequately support the business objectives. You will work towards delivering scalable analytics that utilizes large datasets and bureau data to oversee the development and delivery of lending strategy and pricing of the company. Ensure full understanding of the 3 lines of defence model in relation to credit risk across the business. Develop and oversee the credit risk framework, ensuring risk is identified and appropriately managed. You will be tasked with delivering enhancements to the method for forecasting provisions under IFRS9. Required to work with competence in the optimisation of borrowing alongside the development of new data sources for analysis. You will document and present performances, including methodological specifications. As Head of Credit Risk, you will have: A thorough understanding of the credit risk market and retail credit products. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills in a strategic environment. Previous experience managing Credit Risk teams Strong technical experience using programmes such as SAS, R or Python. Prior experience managing IFRS9 and EIR models Good working knowledge of IRB models for secured and unsecured.
