The Head of Compliance and Risk will be tasked with supporting our client to ensure the smooth delivery of compliant services to their clients. You will be responsible for a small team and this role will see you very hands on, but also taking responsibility for the strategic direction of the team. A key part of our business involves dealing with pension scheme members who may become party to pension scam activity. This will include dealing with member issues as well as reporting to, and working with, the relevant authorities. You will also manage the Compliance Team, including ensuring appropriate reporting to Pensions Group plc Board. The candidate will hold both CF10 and CF11. The role: FCA Approved Person (CF10) covering Oversight of compliance for three regulated companies, including a SIPP operator Ensuring processes, systems and controls in place to comply with FCA requirements Training, educating and promulgating compliance policies and processes to affected staff Completion of FCA reporting of business activities Regulatory Compliance assessments FCA Approved Person (CF11) covering Oversight of AML controls for three regulated companies and support for unregulated companies in relation to pension scams Ensuring processes, systems, controls and training in place to comply with ML Regulations and Sanctions requirements Data Protection Officer covering Oversight of GDPR related compliance and risk management Responsible for data breach reporting Work with the Legal team to review and negotiate GDPR compliant contracts Essential Skills: Experience at a senior level in the Compliance team of an FCA-regulated business with hands-on knowledge of: FCA regulatory returns and reporting, including PSDR, RMAR and Connect FCA consultation and rule changes Writing and integrating Compliance policies and procedures using plain English Knowledge and understanding of SIPP and SSAS business As one of our companies is a SIPP operator and SSAS administrator, knowledge of SIPPs and SSASs in general and detailed knowledge of FCA SIPP operator requirements is essential Knowledge and understanding of the regulated advice process for corporate clients, in particular investment advice to pension schemes Knowledge and understanding of AML requirements as they apply to pensions business, including KYC, anctions checking and prevention of financial crime Desirable Skills: Knowledge of Actuarial responsibilities as they apply to pension schemes Our client offers a fantastic reward package, typical benefits can include: Competitive salary and car allowance Participation in Discretionary Bonus Scheme Participation in SAYE Scheme (with qualifying service) 25 days holiday Pension Plan Flexible Benefits Scheme to support you in and out of work, helping you look after you and your family covering Security & Protection, Health & Wellbeing, Lifestyle Life Assurance cover Rewards (offers discounts and savings from retailers and services providers as well as offers available via phone) Interest free season ticket loan This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/85302253
