Resourcery Group are exclusively supporting a global manufacturing business to bring on board an Operations Finance Business Partner. This division is a £100m t/o subsidiary and your role will support the Plant operational activities for Europe. This role is critical for Operations and will be reporting Plant and Distribution Centre KPI's, supporting the month end closing activities to deliver a timely and accurate financial close. Working with operations leadership the role will also seek to improve processes and controls to safeguard, value and count operational assets which includes inventory and manufacturing property, plant and equipment. The other key aspect of this role will be to support the annual standard cost roll process. Key

Responsibilities:
Business Partner & Leadership Provide real time financial results to the Operations leadership team and the European Finance Director for decision making support to improve operational processes and reduce costs / improve productivity Work and lead finance projects to improve the predictability, timing or accuracy of financial results Work with FP&A Team to understand the composition of financial budgets and forecasts to validate accuracy of financial results. Support and partner with FP&A Team with budgeting and forecasting process Support reconciliation of productivity tracking Monthly Close and Financial Reporting Lead player in the monthly close process for area of Manufacturing & Operations, by reviewing and recommending journal entries, interpreting and explaining income statement results versus prior year, budget and forecast Ensure 100% reconciliation of the balance sheet with ownership of account reconciliations for plant operations, mostly pertaining to inventory, inventory reserves, and fixed asset. Take the lead in completing the quarterly key reserve updates including Inventory Ensure that financial reporting processes are in accordance with US GAAP Provide management with weekly, monthly and quarterly financial metrics (KPIs) to assist in driving business results Develop and Monitor Strong Controls in Plant Support all aspects of financial management, internal controls and SOX requirements Support Audit activities including statutory, USGAAP and internal audits as appropriate Responsible for monitoring and executing the inventory cycle count program and physical inventories each year, including submission of the physical inventory exemption request Oversee the monitoring, evaluation and coordination of the disposal of obsolete and excess inventories, including appropriate reserve requirements based on Company Policy Analyze WIP, raw materials and other inventory accounts to ensure work orders and variances are reported correctly and lead investigations with the Operation Team into the causes of significant variances Standard Costing Responsible for ensuring the plants roll standard costs on an annual cost basis and the accuracy of standard costs daily Subject matter expert for development of standard costs. Need to review and communicate cost build-up and changes in costs with finance and non-finance personnel Support year end cost roll and financial updates, presentations to Group and Commercial leadership The ideal candidate will be: A fully qualified accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA Have a manufacturing/FMCG/Engineering sector background Be able to communicate with the finance and non-finance community effectively This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/85302285
