What are we looking for? Otis is currently recruiting for an Internal Controls & Compliance Manager to join our busy Finance Team in Leicester (LE4 5QX) initially on a 2 year fixed term contract. The key objective of this role is to provide a robust and sustainable controls environment across the Business Units. Other responsibilities of this role include: - Supervision and guidance on GAP assessment process for UK and three subsidiaries - eSOX Testing verification and approval - Regular monitoring of eSOX issues and driving their timely completion - Assessment of approval limits for the organization and their alignment with EMEA requirements - Providing accounting guidance in accordance with US GAAP principles - Active participation in subsidiaries transformation and adaptation to Otis requirements - Producing white papers / memos and exceptions to policies for executive management - Managing quarterly financial disclosure process - Payroll fluctuation review and approval (UK and three subsidiaries) - Leading process improvements projects - lean management - Close cooperation with internal and external auditors - Supporting regional controllers with accounting and compliance assessment - Manage relationship with a bank and coordinate bank related matters with a UTC Treasury - Manage internal controls team and Shared Service (GFS) Otis payroll / finance related activities To be considered for this role you will: - Have strong experience in a commercial environment within a similar position - Demonstrate technical expertise in relation to risk management and internal audit processes - Show a solid understanding of controls frameworks and proven ability to identify key risks and controls.
