Finance Manager / Controller, £50-55k, Derby A newly created position within a dynamic finance department - this role has been designed to give a significant amount of exposure to the senior stakeholders in the business and will provide valuable input to the commercial and operational decision-making strategy. This will be a varied role with line management responsibility and will also involve the need to identify and implement process improvements within the finance department and accross the wider business. The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Providing leadership and guidance to the wider finance team, both direct and indirect, whilst also deputising for the Finance Director as required. Continuous review of existing business systems and procedures to identify and implement changes which deliver greater efficiency and improved performance. Production and ongoing development of management information and KPI reporting used for strategic decision making by senior stakeholders of the business Overseeing the production of accurate and timely management accounts each month with supporting narrative and analysis of performance. Support the Finance Director with a variety of initiatives and projects as applicable. Lead the forecasting and budget process, providing insight and commentary on key vacancies as well as identifying and tracking the risks and opportunities. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who has an appetite to progress their career within a fast paced and ever-changing business. You will ideally be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience required for the role: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with post-qualified experience within a corporate accounting/reporting function. Strong IT systems and financial modelling skills, a high level of energy and enthusiasm, and a "can do" attitude.
