My client is a Financial Services provider based in the West Midlands. Due to the continued success of the business and subsequent growth of the Corporate Governance function they are currently recruiting for a Head of Financial Crime. Reporting to the Compliance Director and supervising the Financial Crime team your main responsibilities will include; Ensure financial crime risks are identified and managed on a risk-based approach Ensure that all Financial Crime policies are written to address financial crime & fraud risks across the business Remain abreast of legislation, regulation, trends and media information in relation to financial crime Provide management information, trends and industry news on financial crime to relevant committees Advise the business on all areas of financial crime Ensure policies are written such that they protect the customer from becoming a victim of financial crime &/or fraud Participate at industry Financial Crime panel meetings Identify and assess products and systems that will improve the management of financial crime & fraud risks Ensure reviews are conducted to ensure compliance with all Financial Crime related policies and procedures Identify and address new and emerging financial crime risks Investigate internal fraud investigations Maintain a mandate for all AML activity and approvals Ensure the Financial Crime team provides sufficient oversight of financial crime controls Be accountable for compliance with data protection legislation in the department. You will be a Financial Crime professional with a minimum of 5 years experience within Financial Crime. Experience in Banking would be desirable although not essential.
