Working on behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Ely, we are looking for a fully or part qualified Assistant Accountant to support the finance team. You will have strong numerical skills, good knowledge of Excel with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Ely, outskirts Hourly Rate: Up to £30,000 Duration: Maternity Cover Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday To be suitable for this role you will have held a similar position for 2 - 3 years and have the ability to work self sufficiently. This is a maternity cover position but there is a possibility in the future, due to how busy the company is, that there could be potential for the role to be extended or for a permanent position to become available. Duties: Monitor cash flow on a daily basis Complete monthly bank reconciliations Responsible for Purchase Ledger and Credit Control Responsible for Sales Ledger and Debtor Control Provide audit reports on returns Complete all statutory requirements such as VAT Quarterly control account and intercompany reconciliations Skills and Experience: Part or fully AAT or ACCA Qualified Two - Three years experience within a similar position Strong numerical skills Advanced knowledge of excel Attention to detail Ability to work to tight deadlines If you have not received a response within 3-5 working days, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
