Group Accountant required for an interim role in the County Durham area. Providing direct support to the CFO and an ad-hoc support to the wider business as required. The Role The successful applicant will support the preparation of profit and cash forecasts, providing challenge to the forecasts and improvement of the processes, they will also produce an analysis of monthly results and provide support into key projects such as systems improvements and other Board level transactions. In addition to this, they will prepare ad hoc presentations for the CFO and provide support to the wider Accounting team on an ad hoc basis, including the preparation of Business Unit Management Accounts as and when required. Experience Required Applicants must have a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent and be able to demonstrate strong accounting skills, and a good basic knowledge of tax matters. In addition to this they will ideally have experience of corporate transactions and tax computations, a knowledge of contract accounting and some experience of working within construction.
