Sewell Wallis are working with a large and reputable business who are looking for a Group Financial Accountant. The Group Financial Accountant's primary responsibility will be the timely completion of all group statutory reporting requirements including the group and UK subsidiary accounts and quarterly bank reporting. Furthermore, the Group Financial Accountant will take ownership of group-level financial accounting areas such as pensions and derivatives as well as the corporate and consolidation entities. An ambitious candidate is sought who will strive to work with an increasing degree of autonomy and become involved in other facets of the Group Finance function as their experience grows. Financial reporting -Prepare annual consolidated group accounts under IFRS -Prepare annual individual UK subsidiary statutory accounts under FRS 102 -Prepare annual group reporting pack for parent company -Prepare quarterly consolidated financial schedules for the banks under IFRS -Liaise with external auditors -Address financial accounting queries from central or site teams -Perform impact assessments of revisions to IFRS and other accounting standards Month end reporting and consolidation -Prepare and input monthly accounts for a range of corporate entities -Prepare monthly consolidation for management accounts -Prepare annual consolidation for statutory accounts and audit Budgets/quarterly forecasts -Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for corporate entities -Prepare group consolidation for the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts Other matters -Ad hoc projects including but not limited to special purpose accounts and systems implementations The Person; ACA or equivalent Excellent working knowledge of IFRS Experience of group consolidations Experience of multicurrency groups Has led and been a key contributor to projects Proven ability to work as part of a team Excellent IT skills For more information please contact Faith Collins Sewell Wallis acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
