ASSISTANT PAYROLL MANAGER ST. ALBANS COMPETITIVE SALARY Here at Interaction Recruitment, we are delighted to be working with a Chartered Accountancy in St. Albans who are looking to appoint an Assistant Payroll Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. Their payroll department provides payroll services to clients from a number of industry sectors for approximately 300 Clients, offering a number of pay frequencies. You will be required to support the Payroll Manager with the day-to-day running of the Payroll Team - including reviewing work produced by team members, and being the point of escalation for large or complex payrolls. Day-to-day tasks will include:
• Reviewing Payrolls prepared by Payroll Team members
• Undertaking the processing of more complex payrolls
• Providing advice on PAYE matters
• Query resolution for Clients, HMRC and the Payroll Manager
• Assist with Year End tasks and the production of P60s
• Prepare / review billing information and support budgeting ad forecasting activities
• Monitor workloads and client allocations
• Ensuring all Payroll deadlines are adhered to
• Keeping up-to-date with Payroll legislation
• Assisting with other ad-hoc tasks as required Skills / attributes required for this role:
• Previous experience in operating at a senior level within a payroll bureau environment
• Supervisory experience
• A solid understanding of Payroll processes and legislation
• Prior experience of using STAR
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy If you have previous supervisory experience in a payroll bureau environment and are a confident user of STAR - then please do get in touch
