Our client is a growing PE backed business who have experienced continued growth over the last number of years. With further growth planned and many new projects in the pipeline they seek to hire a Head of Reporting. This role will be a no2 to the Finance Director and manage a team of 3 reports. The role will be broad: Responsible for all statutory, regulatory and tax reporting for numerous entities. Acting as the lead on all technical accounting matters in respect of IFRS accounting standards. Acting as the audit lead for the business, with extensive engagement with external auditors. There will be specific focus on accounting for financial instruments (i.e. IAS39), SPV accounting (and collapse) and new IFRS9 standards. Developing knowledge within the team with regards to mortgage accounting (currently 3 direct reports). Deputising for the FD as necessary; regular engagement with the CFO and wider business. Evolving all general accounting procedures, governance, policies and processes. Standardising procedures and processes for legal entity set-up and disposal, ensuring appropriate review and sign-off. Playing a pivotal role in the transformation of the Finance function (i.e. replacement accounting system, month-end processes etc). Plenty of autonomy for the successful candidate to explore and implement improvements. Although a technical role, team development and knowledge development is key. Therefore this role would benefit from someone who has developed teams through coaching, mentoring and progressive development plans. A salary of £75,000-£85,000 is on offer plus upto 25% bonus is on offer.
