Butler Rose is delighted to be retained exclusively in partnership with an organisation that is known for innovation and being the market leaders within their field, to secure their new Group Head of Financial Reporting and Analysis. This is a critical role in the management of the organisation's financial affairs; with responsibility for the financial planning and reporting functions, the incumbent will support the Financial Director and Senior Management Team in ensuring the finances are managed and controlled effectively. Leading, developing and engaging a team of 15, the successful candidate will hold accountability for annual budget and operational and forecast planning activity. Managing the financial statement preparation and the year-end audit process, as well as preparation of statutory accounts for all subsidiaries and associated companies and providing critical data analysis and insight. With senior stakeholder exposure, the candidate will have deep technical knowledge, enabling them to be a trusted expert, as well as having the ability to bring a fresh perspective that will ensure influence and engagement to bring about continuous improvement activity to processes, systems and ways of working. This individual's ability to remain up to date with key accountancy knowledge and practices will encourage a 'right first time' culture, allowing them to play a key role in the financial department and deputise for the Financial Director when required. Person Specification ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with substantial post qualification experience in a business reporting / financial planning / decision support environment. Proven staff management skills are essential High in intellect, whilst practical with a results orientation and results orientation Strong process and project skills and an enthusiasm for change management Demonstrate an up to date knowledge of accountancy issues and in particular detailed knowledge of developments in financial planning and management accounting, UK and International Financial Reporting Standards and best practice in Financial Reporting Resilient with a keen eye for detail and a 'right first time' culture In return, the successful candidate will receive an attractive benefits package, which we would be happy to discuss in more detail upon submission of your CV to our client.
