Your new company

An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team, within an exciting and rewarding industry, based in Amersham.

Your new role

You will be working alongside the Management accountants, and reporting to the Financial Controller, as an Assistant Accountant with a variety of duties and responsibilities. You will assist with the preparation of management accountant, prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and assist with P&L reviews. Assisting meetings to support business operations, help with the analysis of monthly and annual expenditure, incomes and budget variances as well as preparing KPI's. You will assist with the annual and quarterly budgeting cycle, support the maintenance of divisional budgeting and forecasting models, as well as assist supporting the audit process and support accounts payable and receivable through busy periods. This role requires you to liaise with sites across the country, including working with and reporting and presenting necessary information to directors and stakeholders of the business. This is a crucial role in the team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position you will have worked in a fast-paced finance team, be confident when working with directors and members of the team outside of finance, as well as being organised and able to work effectively to ad hoc tasks as necessary. You will be confident preparing for a short month end close, therefore working well to deadlines, and have a working knowledge of the year end and audit process. You will be studying towards a financial qualification and looking to enhance your career in finance within this progressive role.
