Grant Thornton Select is a network of interim finance professionals, set up to provide an on demand, interim and project accounting service for our clients. Select offers many of the benefits of working as an independent contractor, such as variety, flexibility and independence, whilst simultaneously providing a network and the support of Grant Thornton and access to opportunities not always available to others on the market. You'll work on short to medium-term client projects that suit your skills, leaving you time for other interests between assignments. And you'll get access to training, development and support from the Select community and Grant Thornton. What will I be doing? You'll undertake varied fixed-term accounting assignments for Grant Thornton's Special Projects team, the firm's fastest-growing business unit which specializes in solving problems within clients' finance departments. You will undertake each project working as part of a client team on an interim basis. Projects are bespoke and very varied, broadly including: Business accounting services (management, financial and statutory) Financial reporting (including IFRS15 and 16) Consolidations and writing technical opinions Report design and implementation Financial systems review and improvement Interim financial support Financial modelling and forecasting. Who are we looking for? We are looking for experienced qualified accountants who have made the active decision to focus on interim and contract roles. You will have significant experience of operating in hands on accounts roles across a range of companies and sectors. You'll be adaptable and able to get up to speed quickly on new assignments whilst also developing the necessary relationships to succeed in the project.
