We are looking for a natural leader who thrives on process and teamwork to manage the AP team throughout their daily activities and ad hoc projects to improve the efficiency of the team. Management of the team will include creating work plans and supporting them to achieve their KPIs and using your excellent problem solving skills to resolve any issues that may arise. You will be highly organised with excellent numerical skills and must have previous experience of working in a purchase ledger or accounting team. With your flexible approach and use of your own initiative you will lead the AP team in ensuring that invoices and expenses are processed accurately and on time. Role includes: Providing support to the team via coaching and 1:1s and monitoring workload Supporting the team to ensure that supplier accounts are processed correctly Supporting the team in ensuring that invoice disputes are resolved effectively Reconciling accruals against supplier statements to ensure that the correct goods have been booked into our warehouse. Resolving queries by liaising with the logistics, sales teams and suppliers. Ensuring the team are processing invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently to maximise 100% of the discount available. Setting weekly and monthly deadlines for completion of supplier statements Maintaining vendor relationships Completion of weekly/ monthly payment runs in accordance with payment schedule.
