We are currently working alongside a respected technology business based in Cambridge on their quest to find an aspiring Financial Controller as part of a new chapter in the companies growth story. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will be joining a business who specialise in an industry sector which has seen radical changes in the past couple of years with more positive disruption on the horizon. The company have gone through a period of change themselves and now require an adept qualified accountant to join them through this next phase in the company's continued development. The business have a history of staff development within a supportive environment and have several success stories to their name. The role will take on a varied workload across both the UK and group function. You will be tasked with annual and interim financial statements, work closely with senior management on compliance reporting, lead monthly closes and support junior staff on transactional queries. As you support the group FC and other senior management you will become involved in project work as you get new processes and controls implemented, ensuring these are adhered to across the group. This role presents a rare opportunity to progress and will suit someone who is looking to fast-track their career within a commercial sector. The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with previous experience in an audit environment either from a coordination perspective in industry or exposure within the profession. You will be a driven individual who wants to be part of an ever-changing industry with new innovations occurring regularly. The business requirements are changing in line with the industry landscape meaning they need a forward thinking individual to support the organisation. If you are a first time mover from an audit background with a keen interest in the tech sector or knowledge of PE backed organisations, alternatively you have experience in industry within a similar field this is role presents a great chance to make a real impact.
