An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Assistant to join the team for our Exeter based client on a Full Time 37 hours per week 6 month temporary contract. Full time equivalent salary - 19K. Do you have previous experience in finance and are available for a contract and are seeking a new role? Job Purpose Responsible for optimising cash flow and minimising financial risk through pro-active handling of transactional records, sound judgement and accurate maintenance of financial records. Responsibilities 1. Together with the other finance assistants prioritise tasks to ensure completeness of the following Cash Management functions in line with operational and targeted requirements: a) Accounts Payable (registration & batching of supplier invoices) b) Sales Ledger (identification & allocation of bank receipts) c) Invoicing (issue of customer invoices) d) Credit Control (debt management, investigation and resolution of queries to support good financial process) e) Cashier (statement reconciliation, miscellaneous payments & accounting journals) Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities 1. Experience within a similar role or multiple roles covering a range of activities from Accounts Payable, Sales Ledger, Invoicing, Credit Control and Cashier. 2. History of achieving role related targets. 3. Ability to prioritise workload. 4. Able to communicate effectively with staff across the organisation. 5. Accurate and reliable under pressure.
