You will be working for a Bristol based business as an Accounts Payable Manager. You will have ownership of and be responsible for the day to day management of the accounts payable and receivable team. Taking a hands-on approach to the role, the successful candidate will drive process improvement and efficiency, whilst maintaining and improving a strong internal control environment. Motivating and leading a team of 9 people (7 Account Assistants and 2 Supervisors) and reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be expected to build excellent relationships across the Firm, whilst also looking after the on-going development of your team, ensuring appropriate progression planning is in place. To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following: Experience of managing accounts payable and receivable teams; Able to drive process improvement projects forward to deliver results; Confident and diplomatic with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels; A strong team manager with the ability to develop each member of the team in furtherance of the Firm's overall objectives. Experience of working within a large business environment would be beneficial, along with a good working knowledge of VAT.
